Stainless Steel Sheets
Stainless Steel Sheets are used in a variety of applications. We believe we offer a full solution to stainless steel sheets and plates need in Melbourne. We specialise in supplying stainless steel sheet and plates in different grades including 304 and 316. They are available in a range of high-quality finishes to suit a number of needs of different customers.

Specifications
2B – Cold rolled smooth finish
2B is the most commonly used surface finish of stainless steel. It is common in industrial, chemical and food processing applications such as tanks and process vessels. It is also used in some architectural applications. 2B is the most economical finish. It is highly corrosion resistant because it has been chemically pickled and is smooth.

Standard Widths - 1219, 1500 mm
Standard Lengths - 2438, 3000 mm
Non standard widths and lengths also available on request
Thickness
0.55, 0.9, 1, 1.2, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 mm
Grades
Grade 304, Grade 316
BA – Bright Annealed finish
The typical use of a BA finish is domestic, such as the interior of dishwasher or clothes washing machine. It provides a smooth, non-abrasive surface for the clothes to slide around. The mirror like surface is also used in road mirrors where a precise image is not required. BA is common in some grades and thicknesses, but not all. It is highly corrosion resistant because it is very smooth.

No. 4 - Mill finish
No. 4 finish stainless steel is the pillar of the light fabrication industry. The easiest of the finishes to maintain. No. 4 finish is used for work surfaces, handrails and where appearance matters. No 4 finish is duller than the other common finishes like 2B and BA. It is generally used where lower reflectivity or gloss is required.

No.8 - Highly polished mirror/reflective finish
Have highly reflective mirror finish. Produced from 2B finish by polishing with successive finer abrasives following by extensive buffing. Mainly used in architectural applications such as handrails around shopping centres.

No. 1 - Hot Rolled Annealed and Pickled finish
No.1 (HRAP) finish is usual for most plate and commonly preferred for corrosion resisting and most heat resisting applications. It has a moderately rough and dull surface and properties are achieved by annealing and ensures that the stainless steel will meet mechanical property requirements.

Floor Plate
The stainless steel steel floor plate is a flat sheet material with a slightly elevated, ‘tread’ pattern. The standard chequered tread pattern is universally recognised and used by most Australian industries. Stainless steel floor plates have many benefits over steel floor plates including Anti-corrosion and rust, Self-cleaning and minimized the maintenance and Decorative.
